One of the most common questions I have been asked by people who visit my web site goes
something like this: ìI have been playing the banjo for several months now. I have an imported
banjo with an aluminum pot. I want to step up to something with a good sound, but I can't
afford a professional instrument. What is my best choice for under $2000.00. I don't want another
imported instrument. Up until recently, that question has been somewhat difficult to answer. It
isn't any more. (This is not intended to slight any of the fine instruments coming from overseas.
There are some very good instruments manufactured in Japan, Korea and the Czech Republic.
But the best ones from these countries actually cost more than the Sullivan Festival model.)
