Sullivan Banjo Warranty Full Text

Congratulations on your purchase of a Sullivan banjo! Please enter the following information and retain for your records. You will need this information in the event of a warranty or insurance claim.

Your Sullivan banjo is warranted for life to the original owner from date of purchase. Return of the registration card below is not required to validate your warranty; however, returning the card will help us identify you as the original owner of the instrument, and will qualify you for exclusive offers for owners of Sullivan banjos.

Note: If you do not return your warranty registration card, a copy of your sales receipt will be required as proof of ownership in the event of a warranty claim.

Sullivan Banjo Limited Lifetime Warranty

Your Sullivan banjo is warranted to the original owner (the "owner") for life by First Quality Musical Supplies, Inc. ("First Quality") for both materials and workmanship, subject to the limitations set forth on this document. The case included with your banjo is warranted for a period of two years from date of original purchase, for both materials and workmanship.

If at any time your Sullivan banjo fails to perform as a result of faulty materials or workmanship, First Quality will repair or replace the banjo, at its sole option. If, within two years of purchase, your original equipment banjo case fails as a result of faulty materials or workmanship, First Quality will repair or replace it, at its sole option. Repair or replacement will be performed at no cost for labor or materials.

THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY:

1 - Any instrument that has been modified in any way by any party other than First Quality, damaged 
through misuse, negligence, accident or improper operation or has had the serial number removed,
altered or modified shall not be eligible for warranty coverage.
2 - Damage from accessories, including but not limited to, capos, straps, pickups not installed by First 
Quality, picks or stands.
3 - Damage resulting from exposure to extremes of humidity or temperature.
4 - Damage to the banjo resulting from any alteration, modification or repair performed by any party 
other than First Quality.
5 - Cracking, discoloration or damage of any kind to the banjoís finish or plating.
6 - Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to, frets, machine heads, plating, bridge, banjo head, 
case exterior, and strings. Tonal characteristics are by definition subjective, and are expressly not
warranted.
7 - Shipping damage of any kind.
8 - First Quality does not warrant the playability of any banjo whose ìactionî is lower than generally 
accepted standards.

In the unlikely event that your banjo is lost, destroyed or damaged beyond repair while in the possession of First Quality for repair, First Quality will replace that instrument with one of the same or most similar style, of a value not in excess of the original purchase price of your instrument. Insurance, including but not limited to collectorís value insurance, must be carried by owner at owner's expense.

FIRST QUALITY MUSICAL SUPPLIES, INC. MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXCEEDING THE SPECIFIC PROVISIONS OF THIS WARRANTY, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY. SOME STATES AND/OR COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

FIRST QUALITY MUSICAL SUPPLIES, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER SIMILAR DAMAGES SUFFERED BY THE PURCHASER OR ANY THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR BUSINESS OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE INSTRUMENT, WHETHER IN CONTRACT OR IN TORT, EVEN IF FIRST QUALITY MUSICAL SUPPLIES, INC. OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND FIRST QUALITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY EXPENSES, CLAIMS OR SUITS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY OF THE FOREGOING.

No representative or other person or entity is authorized to assume on First Quality's behalf any liability except as stated in this warranty. This warranty gives you specific rights, which vary from state to state. Questions or requests for information related to this warranty may be directed to First Quality Musical Supplies, Inc., P.O. Box 581038, Louisville, KY 40268-1038.

Obtaining Warranty Service - Contact First Quality as soon as possible following the malfunction of your banjo. Upon initial evaluation, First Quality will issue a return authorization and provide instructions for returning your banjo. No banjo will be accepted for warranty service without a return authorization.

The owner must ship the banjo, freight and insurance prepaid, to First Quality for service, or present the banjo in person to First Quality's luthier shop. First Quality expressly disclaims liability for defects or damage caused by service performed by unauthorized parties, either in or out of warranty. Upon inspection in First Quality's luthier shop, First Quality's luthier(s) may recommend additional non-warranty service in order to bring the banjo to optimum playability. You are not obligated to accept non-warranty service in order to receive warranty repairs or replacement. First Quality will make every effort to complete warranty repairs in a timely fashion, but cannot guarantee specific dates of return for any banjo presented for warranty service. Repaired banjos will be returned to the individual who presented them, freight and insurance paid by owner, or may be claimed in person at First Quality's luthier shop (proper identification required).
